Watson to establish new R&D Technology Center
Watson Pharmaceuticals has announced plans to establish a Global R&D Technology Center in North Brunswick, New Jersey, US.
The company plans to retrofit 19,000sqft of space for product development and analytical laboratories. The remaining 13,000sqft will accommodate future expansion.
Watson Pharmaceuticals intends to initially invest approximately $4.5m in outfitting the new facility.
The facility is expected to employ approximately 50 scientists, chemists, engineers and support staff.
Watson president and CEO Paul Bisaro said the location of new Global R&D Technology Center will enable Watson to leverage their proximity to such educational centers of excellence as Rutgers University.
